Metro Stakeholder Update: Product Stewardship for Household Hazardous Waste
Metro held its first stakeholder meeting on product stewardship for HHW on January 25th. The meeting covered the challenges of HHW, defined extended producer responsibility and outlined how it could be used for HHW.
The meeting also covered Metro’s Approach to EPR for HHW and provided an in-depth overview of Oregon Bill HB 3251-1 as well as a facilitated discussion covering the scope of covered products, program financing, and program performance.
