Come to the Repair Cafe at Sustainable Oregon 2016

Repair Cafe, Thursday June 9th, 6pm – 8pm

Don’t miss Thursday night’s Repair Cafe in the Exhibit Hall. This event is hosted by Repair PDX and supported by the City of Portland. Repair PDX formed in 2013 to bring repair events to Portland residents.

You can hang out and chat it up with colleagues and bring the following stuff to get fixed:

The 50/50 Raffle is Back!

Last year's 50/50 raffle was so much fun, we're bringing it back to this year's conference!

Each ticket is $20, and one lucky winner will take home half of the proceeds of the raffle. The more tickets that are sold, the bigger the pot grows!

Markets Snippet: May

Scrap commodity prices took a nice step forward this month.  Almost every grade moved up, especially mixed paper.

There is some speculation in the scrap industry that the coming holidays (Memorial and Fourth of July) are increasing demand, and the harsh weather in Texas and Oklahoma has limited domestic supply.

Reuse, Repair and Product Lifespan Extension Project Meeting

Please join Oregon DEQ for a project update and engagement session for the Reuse, Repair and Product Lifespan Extension project. At this meeting, participants will be asked to assess 11 options DEQ has identified as potential projects or activities that can reduce environmental impacts through extending the lifespan of products via repair or reuse, including support for Oregon’s repair and reuse industries.
