On March 2, 2016, Ardenwald Elementary School was presented with 500 tickets to see Marvel Universe LIVE!  at the Moda Center.

Marvel Universe LIVE!, an action-packed, entertainment experience, teamed up with REPREVE, the tour’s official recycling partner, to help educate families on the importance of recycling at the shows, in their homes and through school districts nationwide.

To help celebrate the arrival of Marvel Universe LIVE! to Portland, REPREVE connected with Portland-area elementary schools on a three-week recycling campaign.  Ardenwald Elementary School in Milwaukie, Oregon, was victorious as the “Heroes of Recycling” collecting over 1,400 plastic bottles.

At the March 2 presentation of tickets, the Marvel Universe LIVE! performers lead the Ardenwald students in a “Super Hero Training Academy” session to honor the winning school.

REPREVE’s recycling trailer was also on-site, equipped with interactive displays showcasing how Unifi transforms plastic bottles into recycled fiber for products such as apparel.
