Meet 2023 AOR Board Candidate - Danielle Womble

Danielle Womble - incumbent

My name is Danielle Womble and I am a Western Region Recruiter for Waste Connections (2022-current), previously the Commercial Recycle Coordinator for our Vancouver District since 2014. I have served the last two years as the Conference Chair on the AOR Board of Directors and have been a volunteer with the conference committee for the two years prior to that. I also volunteered as a conference committee member for WSRA for two years.

Lauren Scher

Lauren Scher is currently the Oregon and Washington Program Manager for PaintCare. In this position, she is responsible for correspondence with state agencies, overseeing state program staff, and managing on the ground operations.  Prior to this role, Lauren served as the Oregon Program Coordinator for PaintCare. Relevant experience includes a position at Portland State University as a Development/Fundraising Coordinator.

Haley Miller

Hi! I’m Haley (she/her). I am the Materials Management grants coordinator at the Department of Environmental Quality. I am currently leading an equity focused strategic plan to make our grants program more accessible and equitable for all Oregon communities. In my role I also research grant-funding opportunities for the Recycling Modernization Act and I serve on the Community Engagement and Outreach Environmental Justice Workgroup.

Since 2014, Laura Leebrick has served as the Community & Governmental Affairs Manager for Rogue Waste, Inc., based in Medford, Oregon. She has 24 years of experience in the private sector solid waste and recycling realm, in roles ranging from recycling education and outreach, collection and transfer station operations management, solid waste industry advocacy, and public affairs.

Elizabeth Cole - Incumbent

Elizabeth Cole is a Recycling & Waste Reduction Program Coordinator with the City of Beaverton. She works on numerous projects from assisting Beaverton businesses with recycling and waste reduction to regional campaigns on food waste prevention as well as collaborative projects to improve recycling at multifamily communities. Elizabeth holds a B.S. in Wildlife Science from Oregon State University and an M.B.A. from DeVry University.
