Mapping Tool for Managing Debris Expands Nationwide
EPA recently launched the nationwide expansion of an interactive dataset that maps recyclers and landfills for the planning, response, and recovery of debris. The disaster debris recovery tool can assist federal, state, local and tribal emergency personnel to quickly identify recycling, composting, and disposal facilities near affected areas that may be able to accept disaster debris.
Agilyx launches feedstock management company
AOR member, Tigard, Oregon-based Agilyx Corp., which chemically recycles plastics into chemical intermediates, fuels and virgin-like plastics, has announced that it is leveraging its existing plastic feedstock management system to create a new subsidiary company Cyclyx International Inc. The new company will help to develop new supply chains that will aggregate and preprocess larger volumes of postuse plastics than current systems can support, Agilyx says.

Fortune 500 Brands & Corporate Foundations Extend Over $54 Million in Capital Commitments with Closed Loop Partners
Closed Loop Partners announced that some of the world’s largest consumer brands and corporate foundations are extending more than $54 million in capital commitments with the Closed Loop Infrastructure Fund (CLIF). This extension is a testament to the progress CLIF has made over the last five years toward building a more circular economy and the sense of urgency from these brands to accelerate their circular economy goals and support the transformation of the recycling system.
State Actions to Address Recycling Market Changes
During the past year, the Association of State and Territorial Solid Waste Management Officials (ASTSWMO) Sustainable Materials Management Task Force conducted a survey of State solid waste and recycling programs to better understand how they are responding to the restrictions imposed by China and other countries on the importation of materials for recycling, particularly paper and plastic.
