AOR Membership Approves Bylaw Revisions

On December 14th, the AOR Membership voted to approve proposed revisions to our bylaws. The bylaws were previously amended in 2017.

The purpose for these changes has been our desire to bring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to the forefront of our organization, increase the board’s flexibility to adapt in rapidly changing times, create more opportunities for crossing training and collaboration, and to clarify board procedures such as decision-making.

AOR Legislative Update

March 19th was the deadline for bills to be submitted during Oregon’s 2021 Legislative Session.  Bills that are still “alive” will need to pass out of their committee of origin by the next deadline, which is April 13th.

Sustainable Oregon 2021 Request for Session Proposals - due June 30th

AOR is pleased to announce that Sustainable Oregon 2021 will be held on October 20-22, 2021. We are seeking passionate and effective storytellers who would like to share their innovations, solutions, and stories of change. The annual AOR conference is an opportunity for new and old colleagues in the recycling, waste prevention and sustainable materials management industries to connect about ideas, learn what’s on the horizon, and be inspired.
