To protect the environment and reduce waste, it’s important to learn how to Recycle Right! To help Oregon residents navigate the murky landscape of what to keep out of the bin, DEQ created a new Recycle Right website that highlights five major recycling contaminants, and offers some helpful tips on how to reduce waste and reuse common materials.  

The Recycling Communications Workgroup, a group comprised of local governments and industry representatives, led this project with the goal to create simple messages that can be used consistently across the state. Resources, such as a messaging toolkit and social media toolkit  are available for use on DEQ's online resource library.
