Looking for Recycler or Reuser of Vulcanized Rubber

13 Jul 2018

Pierce Fittings in Eugene, Oregon is looking for someone who can recycle or reuse a steady stream of clean, vulcanized rubber.

More info:

The waste rubber we generate is primarily SBR and EDPM rubber.  The waste is vulcanized rubber (heated).  We generate approximately 7000 – 8000 lbs of waste rubber a month (just a quick estimate).  This waste rubber is generated from the molding process through either cavity fill tubes within the mold or flashing which is generated when rubber is squeezed between mold halves.  We have the capability to keep this material clean from any other debris.  Currently we throw the waste rubber away and it eventually winds up in a local landfill.  We want to give this waste material away for FREE to any recycler who may be interested in it.  The only thing that we ask is that the potential recycler provide a waste container with a lid as the container would be stored outdoors in a secure location.  Costs of container use and shipping would be the responsibility of the recycler.  We would expect that an empty container be provided whenever a full container was shipped.
