Webinar: How Climate Actions Work within the Waste Management Hierarchy

How Climate Actions Work Within the Waste Management Hierarchy. At the heart of climate resilience is the way we create and consume energy. Until we reach a zero-waste society, waste has to be managed. Embedding waste management strategies into regional decarbonization plans is pivotal for long-term climate resiliency. That message came through loud and clear when we identified more than 300 waste-related climate actions during our review of 20 city and county climate action plans last June. 70% of all waste climate actions centered around three paramount principles: source reduction and reuse, recycling and organics management—which clearly support the waste hierarchy.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, join Kate Bartelt, Senior Waste/Environmental Project Manager and Kevin DeLange, Waste Business Development Director at HDR to learn about the opportunities intertwined with the waste principles that guide HDR's work. Participation in this webinar will be eligible for 1.0 PDH credit.
