With the advent of Oregon's recently adopted Advanced Clean Cars II regulation, coupled with the recognition that the entirety of the recycling system is entirely transportation dependent, there is great opportunity right now to engage on the topic of cleaner transportation.
Our experienced and varied panel of speakers will be sharing their insights on what they are seeing on the ground and on the horizon in the push to minimize the transportation sector's impact on the environment.
Sustainable Oregon will be held in-person at the Riverhouse in Bend, OR Oct 26-28. This year's conference is jam-packed with informative sessions and networking opportunities to reconnect with industry colleagues. You don't want to miss out!
Join us on June 2 from 9-10am for a presentation the "Driving Diversity in Portland" program - a partnership with the Portland Haulers Association to provide free training to those interested in in becoming recycling/garbage haulers. This training is part of broader effort to diversify the hauler workforce and supplier networks. Priority for acceptance to the training is given to women and people of color.

AOR is pleased to announce that Sustainable Oregon 2021 will be held virtually on October 20-22, 2021. The annual AOR conference is an opportunity for new and old colleagues in the recycling, waste prevention, and sustainable materials management industries to connect about ideas, learn what’s on the horizon, and be inspired.
AOR is hosting a webinar and summer event that kicks off on June 15th with a panel discussion "Cleanup Connections". We'll be featuring presenters from Solve, Surfrider, Adopt a Block and the City of Portland to discuss how to best use litter cleanup activities to motivate and create change and ways to continue litter cleanups even without a supporting organization.
