EPA Releases 2016 and 2017 Facts and Figures Data on Paper and Paperboard

EPA publishes data annually to its website on material generation, recycling, composting, combustion with energy recovery and landfilling in the United States for a variety of materials and products.

EPA released its 2016 and 2017 Facts and Figures about Materials, Waste and Recycling data on paper and paperboard material-specific information on August 6, 2019. As part of improved efficiency, EPA has chosen to release data as it becomes available. EPA is planning to release the remainder of its 2016 and 2017 data later in 2019.

New America Recycles Web Pages Available

After its November 15, 2018, America Recycles Day Summit, EPA worked with the 44 other organizations that signed the pledge that day to form four workgroups. EPA recently released highlights from the workgroup activities.
