During this pandemic, many essential workers continued to work tirelessly and selflessly in the solid waste and recycling system to ensure the continuation of important services for our communities.

We are putting together a video tribute to acknowledge these dedicated individuals and their important work. Our tribute will be shown on Tuesday, October 21 as part of Sustainable Oregon 2021. It will also be shared online after the conference.

We invite you to send us video contributions to thank these hard-working people for their resilience and for continuing to help us navigate this pandemic. Your video contribution can be to a specific person, a group of people or a team, or simply a general shout-out to people who have helped keep our solid waste and recycling system going throughout the ongoing pandemic.

Contributions are due by 11:00 PM PT on October 13. We look forward to receiving your video!

It is easy to participate!

• Find a quiet area to record in. This will ensure high-quality videos.
• Videos should be recorded with the camera in the horizontal position. A cell phone camera should work well.
• Record a short clip of up to 30 seconds. Formats accepted include .mp4 and .mov.
• Click the event invite link to record or upload your video.
