The EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants funded by the Inflation Reduction Act provide support for states and metro-areas to reduce climate pollution, of which methane from wasted food is a major contributor.

How does one sell a group on the idea of reuse and waste prevention practices?  With the general public being conditioned to a care-free consumption system, how do we move past this train of thought? DEQ will be holding the first Recycling Modernization Act Rulemaking Advisory Committee meeting for the second rulemaking from 9am to 12:30pm on July 13, 2023.

DEQ will be providing an overview of the Act, the rulemaking process, and will be presenting the Commingled Processing Facility Worker Living Wage and Supportive Benefits rule concept.
