What is your name? Shelly Paredes

Where do you work and what do you do? JLL. I am the Sustainability and Compliance Manager (Solid Waste Program) for a large chip manufacturer.

Tell us how you enbrace recycling/sustainability into your home or workplace? I oversee solid waste program development for our global client and practice recycling at home. I am also a Metro/Master Recycler.

What motivates you to recycle and live sustainably? Care for all species and the environment, especially wild areas. Promotion of reduction/reuse/recycle options among friends and colleagues. Abrupt climate change and urgency to adopt more responsible habits. Work in recycle and business program. Community outreach through A Plastic World activism.

If you were an animal, which one would you be and why? A crow. Find something good and call it out to the community.

How did you learn about AOR? Member through previous employer. Attended conferences through work. Also through Master Recycler program.
