Plastics Recycling Toolkit - Only at Sustainable Oregon 2017!

Teachers and recycling educators will be able to return from this year’s AOR Conference with a recycling kit which will aid in showing how plastics are actually recycled.             

Jerry Powell, Patty Moore and Dylan de Thomas have teamed up to gather display items which help explain how recovered plastics are converted into dirty flake, washed to make clean flake, turned into pellets and then used to make new plastic items. Included are number of recycled-content products, as well as numerous examples of poorly designed, impossible-to-recycle packaging.  Teachers will be able to prepare their own kits at the conference.
