October Markets Snapshot

Commodities have slid backwards for October 2016.  OCC, Mixed Paper, Plastics, and Ferrous Metals all softened and will have a negative impact on the value of commingled material.  

Hanjin bankruptcy issues have reduced the number of export shipping containers and effected the overall capacity to ship, thus sustaining higher inventory levels for domestic mills.  

There were also general rate increases for shipping materials export.
