WEBINAR: Plastic Conversion with Mura and Return to Polymers

Plastic Conversion with Mura and

Return to Polymers

Monday, April 25th from 10:00-11:30 AM

David Foell, President & CEO of Return Polymers, and John Cozens, President of Mura North America, will speak about their respective organization's solutions to what have historically been very challenging materials in the waste stream. The discussion will revolve around these companies' solutions for various plastics and rigid PVC products (windows, siding, fencing, and pipe). These are end-markets that have not existed in the Pacific Northwest previously, so there are bound to be some great questions and discussions. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Meet the Presenters:

David Foell is currently the President of Return Polymers and leads the PVC Recycling Strategy and Business Development of The AZEK Company.mThe AZEK Company is a leading manufacturer of beautiful, low maintenance and environmentally sustainable outdoor living products. He continues to lead the ongoing operations of Return Polymers while exploring opportunities to expand vinyl recycling operations across the AZEK enterprise. Currently Industry Chair and founding member of the V-Cycle Task Force for the Vinyl Sustainability Council of the Vinyl Institute. He serves on the recycling taskforce for the IAPD (International Association of Plastic Distributors) and the North East Ohio Vinyl Recycling Coalition.

Jon Cozens is the President - North America for Mura Technology, one of the leading developers of technology and projects that can recycle waste plastics into usable hydrocarbons at industrial scale. Mura's HydroPRS process employs supercritical water, heat and pressure to break down long-chain hydrocarbons into stable hydrocarbon feedstocks similar to virgin petrochemicals, which can be directly used in the production of new plastics and other materials, offering a recycling solution for all plastic types.

Jon is also the President of Mura Cascade ELP, a project in Snohomish County, Washington, which will reliably recycle approximately 130,000 tons per year of waste plastics in its first phase, primarily films and other plastic materials which are currently disposed of. Cascade is developed in partnership with DTG Recycle, which will source and supply 100% of the waste plastics through DTG's extensive operations in the Pacific Northwest.
