Oregon Climate Peer Exchange - October 16th
DEQ is partnering with The Good Company, a Eugene-based sustainability consulting firm, to host a statewide peer exchange workshop on Oct. 16 addressing consumption-based greenhouse gas emissions. Over 50 local government staff and allies will gather to discuss local climate action planning tools and techniques, with a focus on actions targeting carbon-intensive consumption activities such as housing, food and transportation. Participating cities include Portland, Beaverton, Eugene, Bend, Mosier and Sisters. The goal is to support an emerging community of practice and provide a forum for sharing experience and ideas, building alliances and advancing new approaches to reduce the climate impacts of consumption. Registration for this event is full, but if you would like to learn about the peer exchange, contact Babe O’Sullivan.
