Learn about waste processing technologies nationwide, and the world, with regards to better recovery and what we can do with the materials. Includes a short 20 minute presentation with a Q&A session afterwards.

PakTech is a sustainable packaging industry leader producing over 365 million handles for low waste packaging annually and transitioning much of that production to post-consumer recycled content. Gary will present the company's sustainability highlights as well as their priority in sourcing recycled content feedstocks closer to home.

John Warne, Bulk Handling Systems
John is an experienced and accomplished senior executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, developing business operations teams with consistent and sustainable growth and profitability in diverse economic climates. He has been the President of BHS since 2012, and oversees all aspects of sales and operations including engineering, project management, research & development, field services, quality control, purchasing, manufacturing, sales and marketing. He also manages global sales and marketing initiatives providing strategic oversight to BHS' complete product offering in multiple geographic markets and industries. |

Ted Pierpont, Bulk Handling Systems
Having focused on professional selling for more than 20 years, Ted is an executive who is passionate about elevating the technical sales profession and is forever in pursuit of the mutually beneficial business relationship. He values professionalism, competence, and relevance in the teams he builds. Together with these teams, he has achieved repeated success in market-share growth, customer retention, and financial performance in several unrelated industries. He has served as BHS' Director of Sales since 2015, and is responsible for leading all BHS sales efforts including professionals representing four brands around the globe. He also anages Sales Operations which includes BHS' extensive Sales Engineering competency. He is responsible for all facets of revenue attainment including strategic activities in areas of corporate, business, and market development. |

Richard Sweet, Bulk Handling Systems Richard is an experienced leader in the disciplines of project management, engineering, operations management, product design, product development, analysis and assessment, sales, manufacturing. and service support. He has demonstrated success in driving results, challenging the status-quo, achieving overall business objectives, and developing teams and new products. He has more than 20 years of experience in engineering, project management, and operations management. Richard has served as BHS' Senior Applications Engineer since 2009, and oversees plant commissioning, optimization, preventive maintenance, parts programs, and regularly scheduled visits to Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) and other customer locations. He develops short and long range parts and service sales objectives and strategies for attainment within North American markets. He also achieves revenue goals for parts and service sales by promoting and selling service programs, preventative maintenance (PM) contracts, and parts. He communicates to end users and identifies issues proactively to ensure complete customer satisfaction. |

Gary Panknin, PakTech Gary is the Sustainability Officer at PakTech leading development of the strategic direction on corporate responsibility and environmental stewardship to assure compliance with environmental regulations while working to reduce the total environmental impact of PakTech operations. Gary joined PakTech in 2010 and serves as the primary spokesperson on quality, sustainability, and regulatory compliance, driving and coordinating all initiatives, both internally and externally, related to environmental sustainability. He holds a degree in Business Administration and has served in numerous management roles with over 25 years in the plastics industry. |
