Recycler of the Year Awards

The awards ceremony during our annual conference is a time to recognize those who have made exceptional contributions to our industry and not something that lends itself well to a virtual event. After considerable deliberation, AOR has opted to forgo Recycler of the Year Awards again for 2021. Please look for the ROY awards to resume for our 2022 conference.

AOR Recycler of the Year Awards Recipients have made exceptional contributions to recycling and waste prevention in Oregon and typically demonstrate the following:

  • Enhancement of materials management through waste prevention, recycling, composting, innovation, upstream impacts, or market development.
  • A long-term commitment to waste prevention, recycling, market development, or community involvement.
  • Innovation in proposing or implementing new, modified, or unique technologies, processes, or promotion.
  • Economic benefits in terms of reduced costs to businesses, organizations, or the public.
  • Transferability of recycling or waste prevention programs, processes, or efforts.
