Starting a WRAP Program in Your Community

17 Jun 2016

You’re well aware that WRAP is all about recycling plastic bags and product overwraps – but how can WRAP work for you?

Every community is different, so the American Chemistry Council is  hosting an exclusive webinar on Thursday, June 23rd at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT about the Wrap Recycling Action Program (WRAP).

All WRAP participants are encouraged to join the webinar and learn more about how this program can educate residents and businesses across the U.S. on recycling plastic bags, wraps and other film packaging.

You’ll hear from peers in the following communities:
•    Vancouver, WA (population 167,405; 49.86 square miles), where grant funding and WRAP tools supported resident outreach about "Recycling Done Right," and local Safeway stores educated customers in store;

•    Dunn County, WI (population 44,122; 864 square miles), which offers rural drop-off collection to augment retail programs for postconsumer bags and wraps and accepts commercial film material at local transfer station; and

•    Outagamie, WI (population 180,345; 645 square miles), which manages a tri-county materials recovery facility (MRF) and educates residents about plastic bag and wrap recycling to mitigate film contamination in their recycling program.

The webinar will finish with a Q&A session, so have your questions ready!
